In view of the current multiple crises and the related new, daily challenges for the food industry, Anuga HORIZON is reacting to the changes on the market for food and beverages in a needs-based manner and has readjusted its plans regarding the 2022 event. For example, the prerequisites for the event format comprising of the Exhibition, Conference and Experience elements, originally extensively planned from 6 to 8 September 2022, are currently not met. Instead, Anuga HORIZON is planning theme-oriented formats over the coming months, which focus on the transformation of the industry. This approach will be further enhanced in the scope of Anuga 2023 with teaser events on the future of food, followed by Anuga HORIZON 2024, which will be staged from 3 to 5 September.

“We are hereby not only taking the changed economic framework conditions into account, but are above all reacting to the wishes of our participants, who are currently having to face other challenges due to the present circumstances. Our discussions to-date with numerous industry experts, manufacturers and partners confirm that on developing Anuga HORIZON we have come up with a future-looking concept, which offers plenty of scope for specialised content, active contribution and a mutual exchange of knowledge. As such, we will continue to work on the further implementation of the new event form and are already looking forward to planning Anuga HORIZON 2024 together with the food community once the market situation has stabilised again,” explained Oliver Frese, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH.

Anuga HORIZON 2024 is scheduled to take place in Cologne from 3 to 5 September. Over the following weeks, further information on the teaser and side events planned up until Anuga 2023 will follow.
