Pattaya – An open-air exhibition event started yesterday (April 16th) until April 19th on Pattaya Beach which is aimed to boost tourism and help business operators, SMEs, and local operators. The fair officially launched yesterday (April 16th) and was led by the Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunplume and President of the Chonburi Chamber of Commerce Mr. Terin Thanyawattanakun. Mr. Terin told The Pattaya News, “The event is put together by Pattaya City, the Office of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion (OSMEP), the Chonburi Chamber of Commerce, and the Pattaya Business and Tourism Association. ” “It is aimed to boost tourism and the economy as well as to help business operators, SMEs, and local operators.” Terin stated. More than one hundred booths of shops, restaurants, and activities highlighting Thai culture and Thai tradition are presented at the event until April 19th in front of Central Festival Pattaya Beach. The event is under strict Covid-19 precautions including mask wearing, social distancing, and usage of check-in platforms for contact tracing. The event was given permission to continue as it is outdoors and the health department has said the risk of Covid-19 transmission is minimal.
